DJ RECEIVES DEATH THREATS AFTER SAMPLING MUSLIM CALL TO PRAYER IN TUNISIA

Berlin based DJ Dax J has allegedly been victim of multiple death threats after his set Tunisian town of Nabeul. He performed there on Friday, March 31st at the El Guitone club, as part of Orbit Festival. During his set British-born DJ played a track that samples Muslim call to prayer (the religious act that Muslims perform five times a day).
As soon as the footage of the said moment appeared online, it caught attention of the authorities who shot the club down. According to the Mnaouar Ouertani, the governor of Nabeul, the club will"remain closed until further notice." He also confirmed that El Guitone's manager had been arrested for “violation against good morals and public outrage against modesty,” adding that “the government will not allow attacks against religious feelings and the sacred.”
The festival itself issued apologies on their Facebook page, but took no responsibility for the sample played. DJ Dax J offered his “sincere apologies to anyone who may have been offended by music that I played at Orbit Festival in Tunisia on Friday,” but eventually ended up deleting his Facebook page after death threats.

You can read the festival's full apology translated below:

Dear friends

First of all , we would like to thank all the people who honored us by their presence.

Without you, ORBIT Festival 2017 would not have taken place. An event prepared with care and seriousness by an exceptional team.
Under the conditions in which Tunisia currently lives, our primary and ultimate goal is the image of our dear fatherland.

Through this event, we wanted to give the image of a country in love with life, joy but also a country where it is good to live and without terrorist danger.
This incident can happen in any evening and any country. Dax J had no intention of provoking your anger or offending you. It is clear, after his apologies, That Dax J is sincere and has no reason to hurt our dear festival goers. The sound of the call to prayer inspired it musically and found that tonality could touch us. Which was the case. But to take from a PEACE and RECONCILIATION point of view and above all a good faith from him. He did not think it could offend you.

All this polemic created around this unexpected, has dragged some people serious and bumpy in the mud.
We thank Mr Sofiane for the trust he has given us and for his love for Tunisia, through all the events he organized in El Guitoune bringing together thousands of tourists and promoting Night Life in Tunisia. All our solidarity with you Sir.

We thank all the people who attended our Gig, which went very well with zero errors: Sound system at the top, Radiant lights and Organization clean.
It is unfair that 20 sec of music mess up a whole 2-day event and prepared for long months.
We do not want to get involved in religious debates. Far be it from us to dirty the image of ISLAM, which remains a religion of Peace and Forgiveness.
So my friends, forgive, love you and do not forget that the Music is the answer. It is unfair that 20 sec of music mess up a whole 2-day event and prepared for long months. We do not want to get involved in religious debates. Far be it from us to dirty the image of ISLAM, which remains a religion of Peace and Forgiveness. Harry Styles, I Had Such High Hopes For Your 1st Song

Harry Styles, I Had Such High Hopes For Your 1st Song — But I’m Just Not Here For It: At the risk of being attacked by Harry Styles fans, I’m just going to say it — I’m really not feeling his new song, you guys! Let me explain… From the moment Harry Styles, 23, announced the release date of his new song, “Sign of the Times”, I began counting down the days. I couldn’t wait to hear what the One Direction singer had been working on over the last year, and the first thing I did when I woke up for work at 5:00 a.m. on April 7 was hit play. Unfortunately, I wasn’t exactly thrilled by what I heard. Don’t get me wrong — from the very first note, I nearly melted by the sexy sound of Harry’s voice filling my headphones once again (he sounds AMAZING), and I fully appreciate the fact that he’s finally putting out the music he wants to. “Sign of the Times” is an incredibly mature song, with a sound that compares to that of Queen, Bon Iver or David Bowie, but it just feels like Harry’s try...

Hailie, who goes by Hailie Scott on Instagram, popped up on social media this week and she's absolutely gorgeous. The now 21-year-old posted a photo on her Instagram this week where she showed off her fab and fit physique in a set of olive green hot pants, heels and a crop top. She captioned the snap, "es my pants match my closet & yes Lottie's entitled to photobomb on puppy day." And in case you weren't 100 percent sure that this is her real Instagram account -- she posted a throwback pic that reaffirmed it. The rapper's daughter has largely stayed out of the spotlight throughout her dad's career and tumul...
